Veterans Initiative in Technology, Aerospace & Logistics is a registered 501, C-19 non-profit, whose mission is to create career employment in our manufacturing sector for our Patriots, especially our most deserving citizen, our disabled American veteran.

Corporate Intent

The Corporation intends to:

Establish a curriculum to impart the elements of manufacturing technology in concert with those professional engineering societies charged with advancing the state-of-the-art, that the veteran-student may gain career employment while contributing to the manufacturing prowess of America.

Mentor those veterans, especially our Disabled American Veterans whose participation in our facility may be impractical, to establish a home-based contracting business. Advice managing this enterprise shall include examples of contracts regularly processed by manufacturing firms. Special emphasis to include contracting with government entities. Those wishing to contract with the Department Of Defense will be given specific help registering. (CCR, JCO, ALC, DLA, PTAC, etc.)

Furnish this facility with: machine tools, both manual and numerically controlled; accessories; metrology; mechanical drafting (traceable to ANSI Y-13.70; technical papers, including modern quality control methods (traceable to ANSI AS-9100); textbooks covering the basics of chemistry, metallurgy, physics, casting, forging and those treaties concerning ethics and logic. Maintain harmonious relations with other vocational and technical schools, principally through the community college system and established apprentice programs.

Encourage the implementation of such facilities across America as finances permit.

Earnings of the Corporation shall not be distributed to its members, directors, officers or other private persons, except that the Corporation is authorized and empowered to pay reasonable compensation for services rendered and make payments and distributions in furtherance of its mission and purpose.

V.I.T.A.L. was formed through the American Legion, Frank Starr Post #47 in Colville, Washington. We were granted our corporate seal from Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed on 02 October 2002. Concurrently, we were granted our general-exemption status from the IRS. Such status may confer upon the donor, some measure of tax relief. Donors may refer to IRS pamphlet #557. Frank Starr is a Patriot from Colville, Washington who enlisted in the United States Army in World War 1. His spirit remains forever-bound in French soil, adjacent to American Legion Post #1.
